The ancient art of ear candling in Mesoamerica comes from the belief that the element of air can enter the ear canal and get stuck in the ear causing feelings of pressure, sounds, headaches, or ear-aches. This can also be caused by sudden changes in air pressure caused by travel or activities like swimming.
How does it work:
The flame at the top of the candle draws air from your ear canal up to the flame creating a vacuum like pressure in your ear. This helps loosen up ear wax and improves nasal and sinus airflow. The sounds of the crackles of the flame vibrates through the ear and massages the ear drum helping loosen up detritus as well as being very relaxing and pleasant for the nervous system.
The ear candles burn for about 15 minutes each making the treatment about 35 minutes long. Facial cupping is also recommended as an add on to massage the muscles around the ear and help with lymphatic drainage along different sinus points.
The treatment with facial cupping is about 1 hour long but will give you the best results to decongest the sinus points.

La Cerrada de Caderas is an ancient post-partum ritual that celebrates the metamorphic process of pregnancy, birth and the beginning of the motherhood journey. It is a very nourishing practice for the nervous system after the birth portal. In Mesoamerican culture the process of birth was seen as hard if not harder than battle. Sometimes this birth process can leave an imprint on the nervous system and the cerrada de cadera is a way to bring your nervous system back to center and safety.
Helping nourish the emotional battle that was had but also the physical - allowing the spine to move back to its original position gently - the organs and the womb.
The practice is done with a variety of sacred cloths called "rebozos". They are strategically tied in various parts of the body forming a cocoon and then you are set to rest within that safe cocoon for at least 15 minutes. During the 15-30 minutes you may rest in the room and listen to relaxing music during your rest time.
This practice is best done after the 40 days of quarentena (rest) post-partum are over. The full time of post partum recovery in Mesoamerican culture is 6 years. It is recommended to have this practice done multiple times within that period but you may also get it done for extra nourishment to your nervous system after this period or if trying to conceive.

Vaporicaciones de la matriz - also known as Yoni steaming come from ancient traditional Mayan and Mesoamerican medicine. The belief comes from the foundation (similar to Chinese and Aryverdic Medicine) that the womb is meant to be a warm oven in order to have healthy pain free periods and wombs.
Using specific healing herbs to make the practice even more powerful, this ritual is especially recommended after post partum with to help heal and nourish inflammation inside of the womb, after a pregnancy loss to help with the emotional and energetic recovery/grief, if you'd like to cleanse your womb of certain energetic imprints with past partners, or if you'd like to nourish and warm up your womb in preparation for pregnancy or warm it up if you have painful periods, low libido, cysts or diagnoses in Western medicine such as endometriosis, PCOS, or thick uterine lining.
The intention behind it will guide the selection of herbs to use during the practice.
Using an artisanal chair made specifically for this (shoutout to @corazonesdemiel) - we place the steaming herbs below the chair which has a little hole that allows the steam to come up and allow you to rest with a big blanket above to create a mini temazcal for the womb space. It is recommended to stay resting for at least 10 minutes until the steam is almost gone or until you feel rested and cleansed. The duration of the ritual could be up to 45 minutes at your discretion of ending time.
One clue as to the health of your womb is to look at the color of your menstrual fluid. The goal is to have a bright cherry red menstrual fluid color. If your menstrual fluid is brown or dark red it, clumpy or thick, it means in Mesoamerican medicine that your womb has old uterine lining that needs extra support to come out. This can cause painful periods among other things and a rue or chamomile vaporizacion would be really beneficial combined with cupping in the lower back and womb points to generate more heat in the womb.
The optimal time to schedule your yoni steaming session is a week before your period and later on in the evening so you can just go home and rest after. It is not recommended to shower, workout, or have have intimate relations for at least 12 hours after. It is also not recommended to do this while on your period so if your timing changes - please reschedule at no extra charge ever. I totally understand our cycles shift and change especially with powerful moons and eclipses.

Mayela standing next to an ancient Yuca Plant in her ancestral lands Tepezala Aguascalientes Mexico, This plant is at least 5,000 years old and part of a semi-desert ecosystem that is currently under threat by mining companies decimating the environment aggressively within the last 8 years especially. We are actively sending resources whenever we can to protect these lands which Mayela’s ancestors have resided on for thousands of years as well.

I thought of giving away flowers partially inspired by the Mesoamerican divine energy Xochiquetzal - representative of flowers, music, art, beauty, the healing arts, and fertility. In Mesoamerican culture, to honor the divine is to honor yourself. Surrounding yourself with beauty and caring for the land that cares for you.
